Norkring Belgium concludes agreement with Telenet to lease digital transmission frequencies

(Brussels - 18/2/2010) Norkring Belgium has taken the next step in the selection process for the leasing out of digital transmission frequencies through its broadcasting infrastructure network in Belgium. Norkring Belgium and Telenet signed an agreement to this end. This agreement makes Telenet the first partner for Norkring Belgium. The objective of Norkring Belgium remains to lease its network to more than one partner.

This contract will give Telenet the capability of transmitting wireless digital-quality tv and radio broadcasts through the digital ether in Flanders and Brussels. The transmission is received by means of a small antenna in or beside the television set or radio.
